Tree Diseases

How can you help stop the spread?

Trees, similar to humans, have their own "bag of plagues" that threaten their continued existence or at least their status of "good health and beauty". These diseases take forms ranging from some rather harmless leaf spots to lethal vascular wilts, such as oak wilt, Dutch elm disease, or elm phloem necrosis. Such maladies may be caused by fungi, bacteria, viruses, nematodes, or nutritional deficiencies... However, there is much you can do to maintain or restore "health" in trees. The first requirement is that you really care.
