Shorewood Hills Soccer Club
Shorewood Hills SC has teams for ages U6 through U10. For the upcoming soccer year (Fall 2024-Spring 2025), this includes the following age groups: 6U - kids born in Birth Year (BY) 2019 League play is in both the Fall (September and October) and Spring (April, May and June). Coaching Shorewood teams are primarily coached by volunteer parents. Parents of all players are encouraged to get involved. Please contact Janet at shorewoodhillsSC@gmail.com for more information on coaching. Team Practices Most teams practice in and around Shorewood Hills. Practice schedule is set by coaches and teams. Most teams practice once or twice a week on a weekday evening. League Games All league games are on the west side of Madison (fields such as Vilas, Midvale, Lucia Crest, Hoyt Park, Rennebohm, Middleton, Wingra and several fields near WestTowne mall). Most games are on weekends (Saturday and Sunday mornings but there are sometimes games on weeknights especially when games need to be re-scheduled due to weather, etc.). Fall games usually start up the weekend following Labor Day and end in early November. Spring season starts in mid to late April and ends in early June. Spring Season Information All teams that were formed in the Fall will stay together and play in the Spring 2025. Players currently on those teams will get information from the league and their coaches in 1Q 2025. Spring Soccer will start up when the fields are "playable" which is usually in mid-late April. New players can be placed on existing teams (first come, first served) if there is space on a team. If there are enough new players to form a new team, a new team can be formed. New teams are only formed if there are enough kids to form a new team (need to have enough kids to form a new team by mid January for the Spring season). Shorewood Hills will create new "Kinde" teams for kindergarteners who want to play soccer in Spring 2025 (there are always enough new Kinde kids to make at least one new team for the Spring season). HOW TO REGISTER FOR SHOREWOOD HILLS SC (NEW) Shorewood Soccer Registration Link Registration is a multi-step process. You will need to create an account in PlayMetrics for your player using your email (and putting in their name and birthdate). Once you have created the account, you will be able to see what programs are available to your player. The sign up to be placed onto a team is free. When you are placed onto a team, you will receive an email that "invites you to a specific team." You will need to "accept" that invitation and then pay the Registration and Uniform fees to the Village of Shorewood Hills (either a check or on-line through the Village's website: www.shorewood-hills.org/payments). The Registration fee for the year is $130. Spring-only registration is $80. You will also notice that there is a "uniform fee" of $60. All players will be getting a "uniform kit" which is shorts, socks and two jerseys (for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025). Shorewood Hills Soccer is going to order the uniforms so you will need to provide your player's sizes when you register. These uniforms will be the same from year to year so in future years, you will only need to order replacement items. These uniforms will be used for multiple years (you can get replacements when kids outgrow them). Once you are placed onto a team, you will communicate with your team and your coach through the PlayMetrics system. Your schedule will also be obtained on PlayMetrics.
Explanation for late fees: The number of teams is determined by how many kids are registered in June. Once your player is placed on a team, you must pay the fees to the Village Hall within two (2) weeks. A late fee of $25 will be due in addition to your Registration and Uniform fees for all late payments
