Shorewood Hills EMS & Fire Association

Before being decommissioned on October 1, 2013, the Shorewood Hills Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service provided community service to the Village for 83 and 35 years, respectively.

Both organizations had related associations, made up of emergency responders and former volunteers. The associations supported the efforts of the emergency service. In February of 2014 the associations merged and reorganized as the Shorewood Hills EMS & Fire Association.

The purpose of the EMS & Fire Association is to promote the public good within Shorewood Hills and the broader community through community service projects, assisting with the Village's Fourth of July celebration and fireworks, maintaining the Association's antique fire engine, and promoting public health and fire safety.

The Association is made up of former EMS and Fire Department volunteers. Membership is open to anyone interested in fostering community service.
