Additional Giving Opportunities

Urban Forest Friends

Gifts of any size are always welcome. Make contributions to the Village tree fund or toward a specific park project.  To help assure a healthy urban forest for the future, the Village uses native species, as well as trees that diversify the forest canopy.

Major Park Enhancement

Larger donations may be made towards un-funded, major capital improvements and park projects, as was done for the Heiden Haus restoration, Four Corners Park pavilion restoration, and Post Farm Park bike and pedestrian path plantings.

Tree with Memorial Stake

$2,500

Choose a tree from the Village Forester’s current species list.  Consult with the Forester to determine planting location according to pre-selected areas, understanding that short-term and long-term plans for park areas are determined by the Forester and the Parks Committee.

Each tree has the option of including a classic botanical stake marker with a personalized memorial inscription that will remain for two years.

Tree planting periods are generally April 15 – June 15 and September 15 – October 15.  If the plantings do not survive, they will be replaced once within two years at no additional expense to the donor.

Classic Park Bench

$5,000

Contribute a long-lasting solid metal frame classic park bench with natural wood slats.

Consult with Village staff to determine placement options of benches within Village park and public spaces.

A brass plaque (approx. 2” by 6”) may be put on the back of the bench with a simple statement “In Memory of” or “in Honor of.”

Rustic Stone Bench

$2,500

Donate a simple stone bench to be installed in one of the natural areas such as Koval Woods, Quarry Park or Oak Way Lots.

Consult with Village staff to determine placement options of benches within Village park and public spaces.

A brass plaque (approx. 2” by 6”) may be put on the back of the bench with a simple statement “In Memory of” or “in Honor of.”
