In order to provide for an effective and consistent system of alcohol licensing that protects the public safety and is applied in a uniform and equitable manner, the Village has adopted a policy to govern the granting of operators' licenses pursuant to chapter 125 of the Wisconsin Statutes (see the Policy Statement below).

The Police Department will conduct a criminal and traffic records check. A license will not be issued if the applicant has any of the following:

• Felony convictions
• Alcohol violations within the past twelve months or two or more alcohol convictions within the past five years
• Any drug related convictions within the past five years
• Any incomplete, misleading or false information on the application
• Any other charges, convictions or incidents that would be substantially related to employment as an operator
