Bird City Event (Save Our Songbirds)

Songbirds are in trouble in Wisconsin and North America. Warblers, finches and sparrows have suffered some of the biggest population losses since 1970! The Garden Club looks forward to partnering with our Bird City friends again this year. The featured program topic is how we can each take steps to Save our Songbirds.
The organization,
Save our Songbirds (SOS) https://www.sossaveoursongbirds.org was launched in March 2023 to raise awareness of birds' dire situation and spur action at home. All are welcome to join us for this program on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 when SOS coordinator, Lisa Gaumnitz (who previously worked many years for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources) will join us to highlight the issues with our songbirds and the changes we each can make to give birds the habitat they each need year-round.
Invite a friend to join you:  Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at the Village Hall/Lower Level Community Room at 6:30 pm for refreshments, the program will start at 7:00 pm and run approximately an hour.
