Shorewood Blvd. Road Closure

Road Closures: Purdue Street (thru June 13); Shorewood Blvd (June 4-6)

Purdue Street is being reconstructed as part of the Madison Sewer Project. The final result will be moving the pedestrian/bike path off of the one way road between Columbia Road and Swarthmore Court. Unfortunately, the work will not be completed before the Pool opens on Memorial Day Weekend. Pool Patrons will need to utilize Swarthmore Court to get into and out of the Pool parking lot. Swarthmore will be maintained as a two-way street with no parking allowed on the entire block. Columbia Road will be only open to local traffic with no access to the Pool. See the map.

Shorewood Boulevard between Tally Ho Lane and Locust Drive will be closed while MMSD (Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District) does some final connections of the relief sewer line under the roadway. The project is expected to start on June 4 and last until June 6.

There will be a marked detour back-and-forth to Tally Ho Lane to Western Road to Locust Drive. During this time, there will be no parking along Western Road or on Tally Ho Lane between Shorewood Blvd. and Western Road. There will also be a temporary 3-way stop sign configuration at Tally Ho Land & Western Road.

For updates on the construction, you can visit the Village’s website at: https://www.shorewood-hills.org/sewerproject or MMSD’s website at: https://www.madsewer.org/project/west-interceptor-shorewood-relief/

We regret any inconvenience this closure may cause.
