Village Heritage Gallery

The Post Farm, now the site of a village park and the village pool, was established by Lewis Post and his wife Alice in the 1880s, and was continued through 1968 by their son Samuel Post and wife Noma. In its later years, the Post Farm was famous for its flowers and vegetables, and city people would drive out University Avenue to visit it. The house shown here, the second on the site, was built in 1893. It survived the early years of the village pool but was demolished in 1987 when it was no longer usable.
