MARTENS AND MARKS PROMOTED

This spring, there were two promotions at the Shorewood Hills Police Department.  In May, Sergeant Courtland Martens was promoted to the position of Lieutenant.  Before being filled, this position had been vacant for two years.  Before being promoted, Courtland had served as a Sergeant for the past year.  He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Upper Iowa University, and has been with the Shorewood Hills Police Department since 2000.

Additionally, in June officer Andrew Marks was promoted from part-time to full-time.  He will replace officer Charles Warren, who accepted a position with another department.  Andrew has worked for the Shorewood Hills Police Department since 2005, when he began as a Community Service Officer.  His father is also a former SHPD officer.  Andrew has an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from MATC.  He is currently assigned to the 3rds/2nds swing shift.
